Professional Dermal Fillers in Melbourne

At DermaMed, we offer quality lip enhancement procedures through dermal filling, lip fillers or injections at our boutique cosmetic clinic in Hawthorn, Melbourne. Our friendly staff will walk you through the simple process and you will be excited to see your transformative new look.

Over time we gradually lose facial volume, our skin becomes thinner and the effects of gravity become apparent. Dermal fillers are used to shape, add volume and enhance various facial aspects. Dermal fillers can be injected to soften a fold (between the mouth and the cheek) or used to minimise the appearance of wrinkles. By appropriate product selection we can define attributes of your skin and face. The area the most popular for this is the lips.

Dermal fillers are most often used to:

  • Soften cheek creases/folds as well as eye and temple hollows
  • Achieve lip enhancement and rejuvenation

You will see an immediate effect after the filler is injected. Because the filler is hydrophilic (water-loving) it also helps to provide hydration to your skin. The dermal fillers we use are also natural and therefore do not require allergy testing.

About Dermal Lip Fillers

Before booking in for the procedure, it’s a clever idea to read up a little on how it works and the expected results.

How long with the benefits last?

Our dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies and therefore has very few side effects. The treatment are instant and can last between 6–18 months depending on the site injected and the type of filler used. The longevity of fillers in some areas can be improved by combining the use of fillers with anti-wrinkle injections.

How Much Is It?

This will depend on how much filler is required and the type of filler that is used. Prices start from $350 for 0.5ml of dermal filler and $650 for 1ml of dermal filler. Discounts are given for multiple syringes in a single session.

Does It Hurt?

Fillers can sting a little at first and to minimise any discomfort ice is sometimes used. Some fillers are now combined with a local anaesthetic so when the filler is injected the area begins to go numb, making the treatment comfortable, or we can use nerve blocks to numb an area prior to injecting, or apply numbing cream.

Areas of interest

Dermal fillers can be used to improve multiple areas of your face and enhance your overall look.

Cheek Creases

As we age, our cheeks lose volume and also begin to sag. This distorts the round shape of the face, and also results in creases or folds where the cheek meets the nose, called nasolabial folds. These folds can be quite deep, but respond very well to dermal fillers used to restore volume to the upper cheeks, and also directly within the fold itself.

Eye and Temple Hollows

Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume in hollows such as eye (often called the tear troughs) and temple hollows. These hollows give the face a tired or aged appearance, and restoring these areas immediately provides a more youthful appearance.

Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancement and rejuvenation are some of the most frequently requested cosmetic procedures.Dermal fillers can be used to softly enhance your lips, providing a natural look and feel whilst giving fullness and definition to the lips. By treating the border of the upper and/or lower lip, fillers can enhance lip contour and definition and reduce fine lines (smoker’s lines). Dermal fillers can also be used to restore the ‘cupids bow’ which is the central bow-like shape of the upper lip that sags and loses definition with age.
